Historian Dr. Gary Joiner spoke about the importance of Eppes Cemetery at our meeting on October 11.
LSUS Historian Dr. Gary Joiner and his graduate assistant Mack Miles spoke at Eppes Cemetery on October 11, 2025. “Eppes Cemetery is a prototypical pioneer cemetery in the Ark-La-Tex,” said Dr. Joiner. “From a scholarly perspective, it is a dream project. It is rich in nineteenth-century and modern graves, and it is a perfect teaching laboratory.”
